How thick are your foam boards?

We offer Foamex boards in two thicknesses — 3mm and 5mm. The 3mm option is lightweight and cost-effective, ideal for smaller signs and temporary displays. The 5mm option is thicker and more rigid, better suited to larger format boards and displays requiring additional sturdiness.

What sizes are available?

We offer Foamex boards in a wide range of standard sizes. Check the product options when ordering for all available sizes. Custom sizes are also available — contact us for details.

Can foam boards be used outdoors?

Foamex is waterproof and can be used outdoors for short-term or temporary displays. However, prolonged exposure to harsh weather conditions can affect the board over time, so for permanent outdoor signage we recommend our aluminium composite (Dibond/ACM) signs. For affordable temporary outdoor use, our Correx boards are also a popular choice.

Can I write on a foam board?

Yes — the smooth surface of a Foamex board can be written on with markers and pens. For a reusable display that can be updated daily, our chalkboards are specifically designed for repeated writing and wiping and may be a better long-term solution.

Do foam boards come with drilled holes?

Yes — we offer optional pre-drilled holes in the corners of your Foamex board, making it easy to fix to walls, partitions or display systems using screws, fixings or hanging wire. Select the drilled hole option when ordering online.

What is the difference between Foamex and a display board?

Display boards are a lighter, thinner 2000mic rigid board suited to lightweight point-of-sale and temporary displays. Foamex is a thicker, more robust PVC foam board available in 3mm and 5mm depths, better suited to larger format signage and more substantial displays. What is the difference between Foamex and Dibond?

Foamex is a lightweight PVC foam board ideal for indoor signage and short-term outdoor use. Dibond (aluminium composite) is a rigid, premium material with an aluminium face, designed for permanent outdoor installations and long-term signage.
