  • Choice of paper stocks — gloss, silk and uncoated finishes available

What Should a Letterhead Include?

A well-designed letterhead typically includes your company logo, business name, address, phone number, email address, website and any relevant registration numbers such as company number or VAT number. Some businesses also include social media handles or a tagline. Keep the design clean and uncluttered — the letterhead should frame your correspondence, not compete with it.

Who Is It For?

Letterheads are used by businesses of every size across Brighton & Hove and the wider UK — from sole traders and startups to established companies and professional services firms. Essential for solicitors, accountants, estate agents, healthcare providers, consultants and any business that sends formal written correspondence to clients and stakeholders.

Frequently Asked Questions

What size are your letterheads?

Our letterheads are A4 — 210mm × 297mm finished, or 216mm × 303mm including bleed. A4 is the standard UK business letter size and is compatible with all standard office printers for overprinting variable information such as addresses and letter content.

What paper stocks are available?

Letterheads are available on gloss, silk and uncoated paper stocks. Uncoated is the most popular choice for letterheads as it has a natural, professional feel and is easy to print on with a standard office laser or inkjet printer. Gloss and silk stocks give a more premium appearance but may not be compatible with all office printers — check your printer specifications before ordering a coated stock.

Can I print on both sides of a letterhead?

Yes — double-sided printing is available. The reverse is commonly used for terms and conditions, company information, a brand message or a map. If you intend to overprint variable information on your letterheads using an office printer, ensure your reverse-side design does not interfere with the print area on the front.

Can I use printed letterheads in my office printer?

Yes — letterheads are designed to be used as a base for overprinting variable content such as addresses, dates and letter body text using a standard office printer. We recommend uncoated stock for office printer compatibility. Always test a small quantity before ordering a large run to confirm compatibility with your specific printer.

What is the difference between a letterhead and a compliment slip?

Letterheads are full A4 sheets used as the foundation for formal business letters, invoices and proposals. Compliment slips are DL size (210mm × 99mm) — a smaller, lighter format used for brief handwritten notes included with deliveries or mailings. See our compliment slips for the ideal companion to your letterheads.

Pair with our compliment slips, correspondence cards, printed envelopes and presentation folders for a complete professional stationery suite.
