Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between NCR sets, NCR pads and NCR books?NCR sets are loose individual carbonless form sets glued at the top — ideal for businesses that file or distribute completed sets individually. NCR pads contain 50 sets per pad with a cardboard backing for on-the-go use. NCR books have a taped spine and cover for a more formal, bound appearance. See our NCR pads and NCR books to compare all three options.
What is the difference between 2-part, 3-part and 4-part NCR sets? The number of parts determines how many copies are produced per set. A 2-part (duplicate) produces a white original and a pink copy. A 3-part (triplicate) produces white, yellow and pink copies. A 4-part (quadruplicate) produces white, blue, yellow and pink copies. Choose based on how many copies you need to distribute — for example, one for the customer, one for your records and one for your accounts department.
Can I choose which edge the sets are bound on?Yes — NCR sets can be glued on either the short or long edge depending on your form layout and preference. Specify your preferred binding edge when ordering online or contact us if you are unsure which suits your design.
Can I get sequential numbering on my NCR sets?Yes — optional sequential black numbering is available. Supply two artwork files — one for print and one clearly showing the intended position of the numbering as a guide. Sequential numbering is particularly useful for invoice sets and delivery note sets where tracking individual document numbers is important.
Can NCR sets be printed double-sided?Yes — double-sided printing is available. Due to the semi-translucent nature of NCR paper, we recommend using no more than 70% black for any content on the reverse side to prevent show-through from the front.
I need carbonless forms for my business — should I choose sets, pads or books? If you need a portable, on-the-go solution with a firm writing surface, choose our NCR pads with 50 sets per pad and a cardboard backing. If you need a more formal, bound format for an office or retail environment, choose our NCR books. If you need loose individual sets that can be filed or distributed separately after completion, NCR sets are the right choice.
Can I collect from your Brighton shop?Yes — order online and collect from our print shop at 97 St James's Street, Brighton BN2 1TP. Standard turnaround is 3-4 working days.
Do you deliver across the UK?Yes — we offer UK-wide delivery on all orders. Select your preferred delivery option at checkout. Orders are dispatched from our Brighton & Hove print shop.
