Product Description

Plastic business cards make an immediate and lasting impression — the moment someone receives one, they know they're dealing with a business that takes its brand seriously. Made from durable plastic in white or transparent finishes, printed in full colour and available with optional gloss, matt, spot UV or foil special finishes, our plastic business cards combine premium quality with genuine longevity. Unlike paper cards, they won't bend, crease or wear — staying looking sharp long after the meeting is over. Printed in Brighton & Hove with UK-wide delivery available.

Why Choose Plastic Business Cards?

  • White or transparent plastic — classic clean look or modern sleek transparency
  • Full colour printing — vibrant, accurate colour reproduction on both options
  • Superior durability — won't bend, crease or deteriorate like paper cards
  • Single and double-sided printing — maximise your card's content
  • Optional special finishes — gloss, matt, spot UV and foil available
  • 3mm corner radius — sleek, rounded corners as standard
  • Brighton & Hove print shop — collect in store or UK-wide delivery

Plastic Options

  • White plastic — a crisp, clean white base ideal for bold full colour designs and classic branding. Colours reproduce vibrantly against the white background.
  • Transparent plastic — a clear, see-through base for a uniquely modern and minimal aesthetic. Ideal for designs that incorporate the transparency as a design feature, with selective use of colour and negative space.

Special Finish Options

  • Gloss finish — shiny, vibrant surface that makes colours pop
  • Matt finish — smooth, sophisticated finish with a premium tactile quality
  • Spot UV — a high-gloss coating applied selectively to specific areas of your design — logos, text or graphic elements — creating a striking contrast between matte and gloss surfaces
  • 3D Spot UV — a raised, textured version of spot UV for a premium tactile finish
  • Foil — metallic foil applied to selected areas for a luxury, eye-catching effect

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between white and transparent plastic cards?

White plastic cards have a crisp, clean white base — ideal for full colour designs where vivid colour reproduction is important. Transparent plastic cards have a clear base that can be incorporated as a design feature, creating a uniquely modern aesthetic through selective use of colour and negative space. Both options are fully printable in full colour.

Are plastic business cards more durable than paper cards?

Yes — plastic business cards are significantly more durable than paper or card stock. They will not bend, crease, tear or deteriorate with handling, making them ideal for professionals who attend frequent networking events or leave cards in high-traffic environments. A plastic card handed to a contact will still look pristine weeks or months later.

What special finishes are available?

We offer gloss, matt, spot UV, 3D spot UV and foil finishes. Spot UV applies a high-gloss coating to selected areas of your design — such as a logo or text — creating a striking contrast against a matt background. 3D spot UV adds a raised, tactile texture. Foil applies a metallic effect to selected areas for a luxury finish. See our business card finish guide for help choosing the right option.

How do I set up artwork for foil or spot UV?

Foil and spot UV elements must be supplied as a separate vector artwork layer using solid black shapes (100% black only — no cyan, magenta or yellow) placed exactly where the special finish is required. For single-sided cards, supply a 2-page PDF — page 1 CMYK artwork, page 2 foil/spot UV artwork. For double-sided cards with foil on one side, supply a 4-page PDF — page 1 front, page 2 back, page 3 foil artwork, page 4 blank. See our templates for the correct setup.

Can I foil small text or fine lines on my business card?

We recommend caution with small text and fine lines for foiling. Foil application has a registration tolerance of approximately ±0.5mm, meaning very fine details may not align perfectly with the underlying artwork. The minimum recommended font size for foiling is 10pt and the minimum line weight is 1pt. For best results, apply foil to larger design elements such as logos, borders and bold typographic elements.

What is the difference between plastic business cards and standard business cards?

Standard business cards are printed on card stock — cost-effective, widely used and available in a wide range of finishes. Plastic business cards are printed on durable plastic and are significantly more memorable, tactile and long-lasting. The premium feel of a plastic card communicates quality and attention to detail at the moment of handover. See our economy business cards and full business cards range to compare all options.
