The Wind Dancer is a tall, freestanding flag display system consisting of a telescopic aluminium pole, a foldable fillable base and a bespoke-printed knitted polyester flag attached via eyelets. Unlike feather or teardrop flags which use a curved pole, the Wind Dancer uses a straight telescopic pole — giving a different visual profile that works particularly well in retail and forecourt environments.

The base folds in half for transport and can be filled with water or sand on-site for stability. A water-filled base is the most convenient option for most events and retail locations — simply fill on arrival and empty before packing away. Sand provides a more permanent, heavier base for long-term outdoor installations.

The Wind Dancer is rated to Beaufort scale 4 — winds of 13-18mph. In adverse weather or winds exceeding this rating, dismantle the flag and store safely. Heavy rain combined with high winds increases the weight of the flag and puts additional strain on the pole.

Feather and teardrop flags use a curved pole that holds the flag taut in a distinctive curved shape — the flag moves and flows with the wind. The Wind Dancer uses a straight telescopic pole with a flag that hangs more vertically — a different visual style that suits certain locations and brand aesthetics.
